Negative. Should not be any clicking at all (maybe the clicking is referring to another issue other than the diff such as the endlinks).

The sound is like a low deep groan, sometimes vibrating the chassis slowly, but it's not repetitive and you will hear it, like someone moaning in a deep tone or something.

hmmm weird. i gotta jack mine back up and find out whats going on then. after flushing the fluid from royal purple to OE i have this weird loud clicking gear on gear noise. constant tick tick tick that gets faster and louder as you speed up. i thought that was what was expected but it didnt go away so i asked...

Did you inadvertently move the heat shield by the driveshaft and it's touching one of the bolts or something?

had a chance to jack it up and inspect the heat shields. that wasn't it. i even pulled it down to clear the driveshaft and still the noise can easily be heard when driving. i turned the rear wheels with the car on jackstands and couldnt hear it. will probably jack it up and put it in drive and have a friend see where it is coming from. literally the only thing i did was change the diff fluid and go from 12 mm spacers to 10mm in the rear and this noise started....
