Default 2004 Alpine/Black SMG

SOLD

Greetings,

Recently have been contemplating selling the M3. Moved to a new home and do not have parking for 3 cars as they must all be garaged (per HOA ) . I have a company Prius so I rarely get to pull the M3 out of the garage and just do it once a weekend to warm her up for like 10-15 miles.

This is my 2nd E46 M3 my previous was a 03.5 JB/black SMG, so I like many others always missed it.

The car is a 2004 that I bought a little over two years ago from a mechanic who was the 2nd owner and I have put a lot more into maintenance.

I bought the car with 69k miles and it currently sits at ~91k and not really creeping. It was a bought as a 2nd car but the 2nd car was totaled and it was used as a daily for about 8 months. Luckily I was given a company car and don't have to use it for commute.

Clean title on hand. The car is lightly modded and is listed below.

Maintenance:
1. I immediately had Ray (playskool1) do the "valve adjustment" and check Vanos. Vanos parts were not replaced but all new gaskets were installed per Ray's recommendation. No broken tabs were found and only 3 valves needed new shims.

2. I had my favorite mechanics check subframe and nothing was found.

3. New differential and transmission fluids replaced with BMW recommended. Diff was making a little noise when cold because previous owner replaced it but I assume he didn't use the one with FM booster, I did. Not a single noise since then.

4. New rotors and pads all around. BMW OEM pads and front rotors but used centric 125 series rears. Flushed fluid completely.

5. New OEM rear trailing arm bushings, front control arm bushings with new brackets, steering arms, front control arms, and engine mounts.

6. New OEM windshield wipers ( )

7. Oil is replaced with Castrol and OEM filter every 3k.

8. New Vanos filter, fuel filter and cabin filter all OEM.

9. Driver and passenger airbags replaced under recall.

10. Sunroof glides replaced to repair loose shade.

11. Fresh alignment within factory specs around 1k miles ago when new rear tires installed.

12. New mirror from Radar mirror as the original was leaking. Works perfectly.

Mods:

1. Ground Control - Street/School kit with adjustable front camber plates.

2. Ground control - Rear shock mounts and adjustable rear lower control arms.

3. Apex ARC 8 9.5 x 18 +22 square tires are Hankook ventus v12. Fronts have
15k and rears are at 1k recently replaced. Rear wheels have 15mm Apex spacers and Apex stud conversion all around.

4. TTFS SMG Tune (what a difference!)

5. AFE filter.

6. Coby wheel alcantara SMG wheel with red strip at 12, alcantara SMG and handbrake boots. All with black stitch.

The bad:
1. OEM navigation screen has streaks in it but works fine, never use it though.
2. A few rock chips here and there, rear bumper has a light scratch.
3. Front windshield has a rock chip from before I bought it and is filled, does not get bigger.
4. Some of the soft touch trims have scuffs and the OEM shadow trim on front arm rests is peeling.
5. The felt window trim was sagging so I glued it back with 3M weatherstrip adhesive.

Have brand new OEM M3 floor mats (will throw in) and painted authentic Vorsteiner full carbon fiber CSL diffuser (for sale separate). Everything else is stock.

Registered and smogged in January.

Recently cleaned the steering wheel and the trim is no longer red. Was cool for a while lol.

This is all I can think of now but will add if I find more receipts.

Let me know if there is any interest or if you know someone looking for one. Car is gorgeous in person.

CARFAX: does show an accident while in possession of first owner. I could not get any detail from the 2nd owner about it as he didn't know. I did have my friend who owns a body shop look it over before purchase and we couldn't come up with anything. I am thinking it was minor but insurance was involved so reported. The car aligns within factory specs so I don't see it having any major issues and if it did they were addressed properly.

Looks nice man. FWIW, THIS is why I will never buy a house where there is an HOA controlling. Making a man get rid of a beautiful car. Itís shameful.
