Since the general consensus is that a 295/30/19 Yokohama AD08 will not fit on my 19x11 ET25 rear wheels without rubbing, and since the AD08 is not produced in a 285/30/19 (I would prefer to avoid the stretch of a 275/30/19), my question is:
Would it make more sense to run a 275/35/19 tire instead of a 275/30/19 tire if I would like to achieve as little stretch as possible, but still not rub? Would running a 35 series sidewall screw up the overall diameter of 26"? I do not think so, based on this logic: a 275/35/19 is probably close to how a 285/30/19 tire would fit, thus the taller sidewall is irrelevant due to the slight stretch on a wider rim. Is this true, and should I be able to run a 275/35/19 to achieve less stretch and closer overall diameter of 26"?

Run 275/30, or choose a different tire.

May I ask why you are running a 11in wheel?

Care to explain why?
Wanted 10.5", but the wheel is now discontinued, so I was forced to go with the 19x11. Plenty of E46 M3's run 11" rears; some 12". Which one fits perfect - the 275/30 or 275/35?

Go with 275/30. That's what I'm running on my Meisters, slight stretch not awful... Depending on ride height and camber and if fenders are rolled you may still have a slight rub. I do on larger bumps, but my ride height is low...

Seems like no one has ever really put any thought into this topic. Any other input?
Those wheels are only 19x9.5 though. Image a wheel with an extra 1.5" width; the taller sidewall would be stretched to fit how a 275/30/19 would fit on your smaller rim. At least that would make sense to me.

You guys keep forgetting, not all 275s are 275s, not all 305s are 305s since that number is merely the tread with, not total width. |
