Default FX racing stage 2/stage 3 clutch kit

Trying to buy clutch+flywheel kit from gripforce. What do you guys recommend? Both are sprung discs so I suppose the rattle isn't as bad as the non sprung + single mass flywheel setup.

I also would like to know the difference between Chromoly flywheel and aluminum flywheel besides the weight.

You will not like the lightweight flywheel in the Getrag 420G gearbox. The gear chatter is bad. I do not care what you read, who says otherwise or what unicorn piss mix of oil you use, it will rattle with this setup and it will be loud. You can also expect more driveline clunking on poorly timed shifts. It is possible higher quality LTW flywheel setups may do better, but I doubt it (having had them in the past).

I have the Stage 3 sprung hub with the steel flywheel and 13psi of boost. After 1k miles it is being replaced with an OEM dual mass flywheel and clutch kit. I can't imagine how terrible it would be with the lighter aluminum flywheel!

I already have some gear rattle due to the clutch kit (probably OS giken) in my car. I was thinking aluminum/chromoly flywheel+ E34 M5 or gripforce clutch kit for the best all round performance. Your response makes it all so intriguing that I can't wait to try it out!

Braymond141, this is the one I am thinking of getting as I am planning force induction...what's your feedback?

Just ordered ECS performance flywheel kit. Will go in detail regarding the fitment on euro 'e 6-speed.

Since that is a full face clutch kit that I assume is getting mounted to your stock dual mass... you should like it. I've only ever ran their Stage 3 + 16lb flywheel in my 5spd and then purchased the same Stage 3 in 6speed fitment. The kits are very good for the money!

Update: I want to inform that Ecs kit (E34 M5+ LTW flywheel) does fit euro M3 without an issue. I will write a comprehensive DIY when I have time.

You are right. It does make quite a bit of noise when clutch is warm. Especially when accelersting from stop. I can't imagine how I would live with unsprung hub (mines E34 setup)
