Default Car slipping in 1st gear, SMG clutch problem?

Since the last few weeks, whenever I moderately start to accelerate from a complete stop in 1st gear, the car feels like it's slipping from the back. At first I thought it was my tires, but I just bought brand new PS2's 3000 miles ago. I feel like it might be an SMG problem and that the clutch is slipping?

Some help would be appreciated. Thanks.

take it to the dealership and get that replaced under warranty.

I am having the same issues, it is a common problem in some of the SMG's. I just had a new clutch and actuator/pump installed 10k miles ago and mine started slipping on takeoff in 1st gear, only when oil temps reach 200-210 mark and above, when the car is warmed up. Really only 2 possible solutions as of yet.
1. Soft reset, get car up to 40 + mph, shift into neutral ( 0 ) , and hold both paddles back for 10 seconds.

2. Hard Reset - unplug the battery overnight, drive the car as you usually would the next day so the computer car relearn, if you dive the car hard then drive it hard.

In my opinion it is some kind of computer issue, not a mechanical. If the clutch was shot then it would be slipping in high RPM's and not holding the power, not so in my case and it does not happen in any other gear but in 1st and a dead stop under light acceleration. Very irritating.

I get that occasionally. I can't figure it out. I only have 8500 mi so I wouldn't think it's the clutch.

hey guys i'm still having the problem. i went to the dealer and they checked it out and said they couldn't find a problem anywhere. i also noticed the slipping only happens when the car is warmed up. any ideas? would wider than OEM tires cause a problem like this?

I posted on this a few months ago. I had same prob. First time I mentioned it to stealer they were "unable to verify". It got worse over time and I went back to stealer and got the shop foreman to ride w/ me until it slipped - he was like "Oh yeah I felt that" They replaced the entire clutch (took them a month to do it) and no prob since. I will see if I can dig up the old post. PM me if you need more info.

Hard/Soft reset never worked for me. I got the entire clutch replaced and so far no further probs.

Ya, it only happens once in awhile, and under light-medium acceleration. When I took it to the stealer the service advisor insisted that it was the tires. If she had spent 15 seconds to actually look at the tires, she would have been able to see that the tires are almost brand new. When I told her that the tires couldn't be the problem, her response was "maybe the car just can't handle the horsepower", and that's pretty much when I realized it was useless talking sense into them. Sorry, but I don't really see them replacing my clutch...
