Default New member and owner Hello all

This is my new addition to my fleet.

I will be lurking for awhile here attempting to learn the in's and out's of the S14. Mine is a 260k mile car so I'm bracing myself for the surprises.

No, I have no idea where Elk river is. I have been using my screen name since 1999 on most BMW sites that I am a member of.

By the way your graphic rendition was cool.

Haha, It was in a semi bad outer town of DC. Some theft prevention is better than none. It was parked outside without tags for at least 4 months.

It's had two service I's and a service II so I'm thinking it's not that poorly maintained. I did an engine oil sample. Changed the oil put some Mobile 1 15-50w in it and put a Mahle filter and plugs that weren't gapped at 0.065" and put new correctly gapped plugs in.

Runs imensely better. Now I need to track down why the check panel light for the low coolant sensor stays on continusly. It has to be the float sensor is gummed up with old/bad coolant. I will be doing a coolant flush next month, when I come home from holiday.
