And for those of you who already have the LEDs and just want to enable the outer ring, here is a link to a DIY. I can't remember who did this one, but it wasn't me. Some of the pic links don't work anymore (at least not for me), but FWIW, on each side the wire on the plug you want to enable is the fourth one, counting in from the brown wire (ground).

thanks to this write up I did my outer ring mod with easy. I bought my lights from the Krevier group buy from Kevin and he sent me plenty of wires to do the mod......thanks again for everything kevin and TigerDave
