Default Experienced coder in LA area (Orange county preferred) - clutch switch bypass

Hey guys,

Just moved to the area and would like to have the clutch switch setting turned off (as Euro cars came I believe) so I can start my car with the clutch engaged and not worry about the clutch switch failing. Anyone confident in doing this quickly on E46s? Happy to pay in bills or brews for your time.

Feel free to PM me or post here.

Thanks!

Don't know how to code, but I hardwired mine, really easy. Terra would know what strings to edit if you're feeling bold with a keyboard and want to ask him. Love not having to put the clutch in to start her. gl

Yeah man I just bypassed the switch with a wire, like it this way so much better. Was having intermittent starting issues with where my clutch stop is set but now it works perfect. Just want to code it so I don't have to worry about my shoddy wiring job LOL, I'm gonna contact a couple shops in the area

the coding is literally one value in your EWS (park/neutral_eingang) - 5 minutes tops if you can find someone with ncsexpert and a cable.

definitely handy especially in a track/race car with a cage, race seat, clutch stop, etc.

Yeah, it's one less thing to worry about breaking. And my clutch switch doesn't seem to like where I've got my clutch stop set at.

EAS down the street from me was gonna charge me an hour of time ($120) to do it. Yeaaa, eff that.

Ahh, I have NCS expert and a cable. Would have loved to help you out. Although it has been a while since I've opened it up though.
