you are correct. unnecessary work.

But... I am a mechanical engineer, and I like to build things. I also happen to work at a metal fabrication shop currently so I have access to the tools to do it. It would be satisfying for me to build rather than just install it.

You are a photographer, so it is similar to the way you approach taking pictures and feel having spent time adjusting your camera and finding the perfect angle to use the natural light and the shape of whatever you are shooting. I would just pull out my phone and take a few and hopefully one would be good enough.

on topic, post some sound videos of that shiny muffler when you can! is the rest of your exhaust stock?
