Yes I posted this on S14.NET, I own an E30 M3, I am a member of S14.net, Yan is my friend as much as you are my friend. Yan has a pretty terrible paint job, doesn't matter if its from you or from the shipping company, I offered my condolences and then responded to the content of the thread, in a way defending you and saying that the posts in the forum are pretty childish. So again...how is this behind your back? What exactly did I say about you or your work? Absolutely nothing. Stop trying to instigate, you are making something out of nothing. Quote:

The bond is so poor that the paint is flaking away from the primer.
![]() It's unimaginable how bad of a job this is. EDIT: Is that a red sharpie touch-up attempt to the left of the flaky area?

Sad that religion is playing a hand in not allowing proper legal actions to be taken.
While destroying his business publicly online will certainly hit him hard... I'd still want the money back to have the car properly fixed. Lastly... I do not care who you are, or what your excuse is. When someone tells you NOT TO DRIVE their car, it means don't drive the damn car. A test drive is never part of a body shop checklist. An unanswered message isn't a change in instructions. I'd wring your neck for that one right there. edit; I would love to see some of the sigfest attendee photos of the car in full resolution. This would help clear up a lot. |

LOL @ Jesus told me not to take this to court. I bet if you asked a priest he'd tell you settle this however you can.

I wouldn't be surprised if one day the owner of the E30M3 discovers that his M3 was part of some VIN# switch while it was getting painted. All that time the car spent there... could have easily swapped a clean frame and body for a butchered and resuscitated junkyard special.

Intersting story. Vlad, it seems as if you drove the guy's car to a gathering without his permission. If that's true, everything else you say is suspect, as you did something unacceptable. Your response of 'he didn't explicitly tell me not to..', or something like that, is laughable. "I am sorry judge. No one explicitly told me I had to pay for that cocaine."

Let's be honest here. The shipping company did not paint that car. They may not report simple small damage that is fixed on a common car. But they damaged the entire car so it needed a full new paint job? How does anyone even know the car at the car show is the same one? Owner should have flown in to see the final finish and make the last payment. That would have avoided all of this. Crappy situation.
