I have to add something very important!
In past year, I did swap BMW Z3 2.8 M52TU coupe to M Coupe S54 from M3 E46.

Last week I start driving, but, I have a lot of problems.
Errors like:
brake light switch,
Secoundary air pump (I realy do not have it jet),

but

Air mass sensor,
engine torque management,
lambda regulator 1,
lambda regulator 2,

and most crazy one:
EML lights on cluster, engine have 90% less power, max engine speed about 3000rpm... But no error stored in ECU???

After a week losing my mind, I realise, everything goes wrong because of one stupid thing:
E-box fan error...
I do not have one (in BMW it costs about 120eur), so I decide not to buy it...
But when I open E-box, my ECU is realy hot, I cool it down, drive about 10-15minutes without errors or problems, then starts lambda regulator errors, air mass sensor and at the end engine do not want to work on eadle!!!

cool down ECU, everything works...

If you do that swap, do not forget to instal fan for ECU (E-box fan), its realy important!!!

Dear OP:

Could you list everything that has to be done/coded/repogrammed to the DME in order to have the car run properly without any fault codes?

So far I have:

* EWS delete
* DSC/traction delete
* Rear O2 delete
* SAP delete
* CAN bus delete
* Cruise control delete (that in the DME?)

Extras:

* 8100 RPM redline delete
* Top speed limiter delete

Many thanks!

Depends on what version software you got and what you connected and what not. You can erase the codes, but that does not mean that ECU will be in error state. You must code it properly.

Well that doesn't really help lol. And yes I did assume that I have to code it properly ahah

I can help you sure. Write down all the codes that show up now. Send me your DME with code error list with postal money order of $400 for my services and I will decode for you. PS: I don't accept California state food stamps.

To swap my engine or not to swap...that is the question.

Really nice build! Impressive work.

Quick question for you -- I'm trying to source the Vehicle Speed Signal out of the S54 ECU. I'm trying to find a good source for vehicle speed that I can use to feed a signal to a rally computer. Can you please clarify your wiring description? You said that it is pin #22 on the X60004 plug. Do you happen to remember the wire color, or how you identified it as pin #22?

Thanks for your help.
