Default obnoxious exhaust noise

I have recently installed Remus headers and removed the OEM cats on my VFE Stage 2 supercharged 2004 M3; I have Borla mid-pipes and a Gruppe M muffler; no cats. It sounded really cool with the OEM cats but I kept getting a service soon light because the cats couldn't stand up to the increased pressure; now it sounds like a 72 Maverick with a bad muffler on steroids with a horrible rasp. I am wondering if anyone has experience with 400 cell cats like MagnaFlow or maybe performance resonators. We have no emission tests here so either choice works for me. Can anybody help? Thanks
