Default My new M3Competition in Aus

Hi all,

Three weeks in and Iím loving this thing! It handles so well and the power.... Coming from a local HSV GTS with 507 killawatts. M3feels faster and much more nimble.

I am considering the BMW carbon rear defuser and carbon lip spoiler. Comments are welcomed.

Just had the car treated with Opticoat. This is the finish...

Looks amazing!

Coming from and E46 M3 and an E60 M5 I want an F80 M3 but do not love the sound they make.

What are your thoughts on the exhaust note?

Congratulations!

She's Gorgeous!!

May I suggest you go to your local paint shop and have them (uninstall &) paint a thin white (car's paint code) line -

* Along the leading edge of the front of the Carbon Fiber Splitters and

* Along the leading edge (rear) of the Carbon Fiber lip.

Then have them Satin (or gloss?) clear coat these two(3) C.F. pieces.

I feel the car would look even more wicked.

Cheers!

The sound is actually very nice. I believe the competition gets a better exhaust and a different map than a standard or pure M3.

I have just installed adjustable springs front and rear. Car now sits a little lower and has both ends match. As standard, the front is much higher than the rear and looks wrong to me. The car also now handles so much better!

Next stage is the engine. I will be taking the car to a specialist to install a mid pipe, air intake and re map. I am told both a significant kilowatt and torque increase is expected resulting in around a 5 second 0-100 improvement. The sound will also be slightly louder and deeper..

Congrats on your new soon arrival. You will not be disappointed!

Ceramic breaks will be a great inclusion. Even if you donít track, itís a nice feature that will set you apart. Now your customisation/farkles begin. Welcome
