Default EcuWorx .bin files

Downloaded ECU Worx and trying to make sense of how to utilize the partial .bin files on their downloads page. There is a large amount of files and I'm interested in euro software for 6MT on HP dme.

I downloaded my current DME contents into a folder as backup. My question is how do I modify this with a partial .bin off ecu worx website? From my understanding I can download the partial .bin I'm after and "flash" my ecu with it, but it being partial it wont be "married" to my dme. Just looking for additional clarification/advice on how to do this.

Thanks

That’s correct. You can (CSL excepted) flash any HP partial that matches your program version. It will overwrite your tune but if you backed it up you can always restore it.

If you want info about the specific various factory calibrations (aka “data” aka “tunes” aka “partials” aka “short read” aka whatever) see the MSS54 mother thread. If you want to get real geeky install the WinKfp Data files and then use my ZBnumberwang tool and you can browse text notes from BMW for each data file.

What’s your tool? I have never seen it. That’s actually pretty cool
