Default Camber Plate Recommendations

Hello,

Iím in the middle of getting ready to order some camber plates for my car and need some recommendations. Is the GC Race still the go to camber plates for track cars or are there better recommendations? I believe there were some issues with the GC many years back not giving enough play and causing shock bodies to wear or shaft to snap.

Thanks

Call GC, ask them why their plates are better than Vorslag's.
Then, call Vorslag and ask why their plates are better than GC's.

Then, if you understand which is actually better, please post here.

I'm only half kidding.

Both of them will convince you that theirs has more bump travel than the other. I will say, GC talked to me on the phone for 30 minutes, and sent emails and pictures of their test fit-up rig. This was AFTER I had purchased them. I've been happy. Others are very happy with Vorshag. I'd need each of one in each hand to decide if one was better than the other.

I'm sure there's someone on the forum that has install and use experience with both.

Also buy the reinforcement plates to thicken the shock tower mounting point.

Is this for an E36? I've ran Vorshag and GC now but in different cars. Both are pretty equal in my book, but I've often found the staff at Vorshag to be off-putting in their interactions publicly on social media and forums with enthusiasts and racers.

YMMV.

I'm sure either of them would work well for your needs.

Ahh the classic Vorshlag vs GC conundrum. I went back and forth on this no less than 1,000 times before I decided on GC's. The only reason I ended with GC is because Bimmerworld sells them and the guys there (JB and Phil specifically) have answered a million of my dumb questions and been incredibly helpful everytime I reach out.

This is for an e46 m3. I figured GC is the best for my use but just didn't want to be stuck with a bad shock because the shaft wore away at the inside.

I’ve had both. Both were great. There’s almost no discernible difference between them. Would buy either again in a heartbeat depending on which I could get a better deal on.

Fwiw, support on both is too notch as well.

So basically do you like Grey or red?
