Question Need purchasing advice ASAP

Hi first time posing,

Been looking for an opportunity to buy a good M4. Found this one:

https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/ag62939

For the pros: 2018 lease. 3500 miles. Dinan Stage 2. Exec package. Sunroof (I prefer it that way). Owner says doesn't drive it enough. Seems forthcoming (see cons).

For the cons: 1 track day under the belt (owner says he didn't push it); been in an accident and shows up on Carfax (owner says repaired to full, but in a private shop, no frame damage).

Damage:

Fixed:

Is 58k a reasonable price (he's kicking in $4500 from payoff value as incentive for me, I haven't haggled yet)? Is the accident or a track day too much of a red flag?

I'm looking for a car that I can own for a while (at 34, I've only had 2 cars, 8 years each) but don't want a toxic asset on my hands either.

Also, since I keep my cars for a long time, I'd like to have a recent year model, so it can age gracefully, but can't bring myself to pay dealer new car price for an M4.

Asking for advice ASAP because the guy wants the car gone to get a truck to daily drive, but needs to free up cash. Realistically, will still take at least a week, but since he's been honest about car history and wants to know my decision whether to get it, I'd rather not lead him on.

And just for reference, my (almost) perfect car (I want a sunroof in Orange County): https://www.crevierbmw.com/detail-20...-18235099.html

Hey,

IMO: You live in So Cal. Since you specifically mentioned the O.C. - Get an M4 Convertible!

If otherwise/you need a 4 door - What's wrong with you?!? - get an F80 w/ the Carbon Fiber Roof!

How many cars out there, that you can afford, have C.F. Roofs?!?

Just don't get a black one ("O.C.") and make sure the A/C is frosty!

Just my $0.02

Cheers!

Doesn’t seem like a decent deal at all. For that kind of money. There are tons of cars available and some with more options, features and mods. Look in the classifieds of the forums and I’m sure you’ll find something enthusiast owned with no accident.

Agree - I bought similar 2016 M3 with 9K miles in perfect condition a year ago for less with DINAN stg 2 goodies, exec package, etc.

Keep looking.

You can get a better deal just search some other sites for comps: cars.com, cargurus, and autolist. Definitely be picky and patient.

F80 prices are dropping quick, I've seen multiple examples in the mid-high 30's granted a lot more miles(40-50k usually). This one seems like it will drop further in value from your purchase price quicker.

The post is particularly good and simple. This is exactly what I ask when five nights at freddy's every argument is very detailed and specific.
