How did you find the crack? I dont really feel a loss in power so I doubt there is a leak in the headers

I found the crack when I was rebolting down the headers. It's right on the bottom.. It's under that metal plate so I no I didn't hit it on something. As far as witch SGT they are idk. I got them new from a forum member , I'm trying to find the pm with the link of the group buy. No I havnt talked to anyone from SGT yet it was late when everything was said and done. Looks like an easy fix tho

Did the bolts back out or did the nuts on the header bolts? I kept my stock bolts in the block so I don't believe this would be an issue but I wanted to confirm what exactly happened in your case.

Uh oh weird. I also have a loud exhaust leak which sounds like it's coming from the Section 1. It appeared not long after getting an alignment as well. Haven't had any time to investigate or repair it yet though. Crazy that that the headers actually cracked on yours.

Icarus, it is hard to tell but it sort of looks like an older design. Do you have any idea what kind of mileage they had on them when you got them? Really sorry to hear about your problems. That is a super bummer.

Gojcaj, it could be that when they were putting the car on the rack they just happened to knock the exhaust.

Sadly the lift I do all my work on current has a 2002tii on it that my buddy and I are working on and it has the motor and tranny out and both the front and rear subframes dropped off it (we are doing a major overhaul) so it may be a week or two before I can do anything about mine. Its not causing problems, just annoying me.

I want to deal with the leak and the difficulties my cut outs are giving me (I will post pics when i get a chance)

Best of luck guys

contact Mike at Status gruppe and tell him your problem. He is a great guy with spectacular customer service. His headers come with a limited lifetime guarantee.
