Hi,
I have my E92 M3 Manual a year now, currently on 74k. I noticed that whenever the car is coasting at about 10/15mph, whenever the accelerator is pressed there is a rattle/grinding noise? It seems to be a bit more noticeable when warmed up and when going up hill. The clutch pedal feels 100%. I did change the diff oil when I bought it and just changed the gearbox oil. Can anybody tell me if all these cars are the same? |

Is it a metallic ping type of noise? Some refer to it as a cow bell when letting off the gas and getting on it again.
If that is the noise you are referring to it is the drive shalf u joints that have play, a rebuilt or new drive shalf is needed. This is the noise I am referring to: |
