Congrats bro! Your trip sounds like it was a blast. May have to do ED if I decide to get one of these bad boys...

I can't wait to take delivery of mine in September. My wife and I are planning a very similar trip. We will fly to Munich, pick up the car, then head south visiting the castles and into Austria, over through Switzerland, than back north into Germany. Luckily, since I am stationed in Germany, I will be able to drive straight home into the garage.
thanks everyone! Sounds like a great plan. If i had more time I would have went to Switzerland. I did just enough in the time I had.

btw
Saw this in the parking deck outside Kings Hotel
Love the seats

Wow! That is one amazing pretzel! No but seriously, I love you new ride. Makes me second think getting a sedan when I buy mine next spring. Does the speed stripe make it annoying to get in the car? I mean do you have to "hop" on the seat like with full cloth? Were the seats on the black M custom, or is that an option?

BTW, thanks for sharing your journey......everything looks awesome!

Very Nice! Looks like Innsbruck worked well for you....classic pic of your mom! Are you doing a PCD or getting it shipped to your local dealer?

Thanks, I was really torn with the couple/sedan. I tried to be really logical with the decision and I am 100% happy I went 4 door. No clue why they even bothered putting rear seats in the E46 I never ever used them and when i did it irritated me. Now I have performance of the coupe and practicality of the sedan. Oh and the doors, they shut like a safe since they have a solid B pillar, car feels so much more solid. Oh and the tailpipes protrude further on the sedan than the coupe

The seats are great, nothing annoying about the material, you slide in fine, but when you're seated you are snug and don't move like on leather. The leather on the side helps you slide right in. Def keeps you a bit cooler too. Heard talk about "less leather = less smell". Well let me put that BS to rest. Car smells like a new car with leather. It's awesome.

No PCD, unfortunately. I have too much going on this summer. But i'll hit 1200 miles soon and be taking it to a DE event at NJ MotorPark in Sept/Oct most likely
