Default Slight metal clanking noise coming from the rear of the car

Guys - Just wanted to see if you noticed any similar sounds or noise coming from the rear. I've looked everywhere I can underneath the car and really can't find anything.

Iím getting a metal on metal, aluminum tin can like sound coming from the rear of the car. The sound is very similar to if you were going to knock 2 tin cans together, or a marble clank against metal. It looks to be coming from the right rear area.

I mainly notice it most when creeping forward in first gear or reversing the car out of the garage. Itís definitely noticeable from inside the cabin with the windows up.

The sound appears to be random and happens every couple of wheel rotations. Maybe every 10 seconds. I really don't hear it when driving at normal highway speeds.

Anyone else experience any of these phantom noises?

That's really screwy, haven't heard anything like what you are referring to. I know these engines can make some random noises at times, but from the backside? Something similar happened in my G35 and they had to recall to replace some bolts, having to do something with the axle.

The only time I hear something similar is when I go over a moderately sharp bump, and yes it is from the right rear. I do not hear it though under your circumstances. How many miles on the baby?

Yeah, that's what I would guess -- acoustic feedback. Should not happen when still or past 5mph. Pull into your garage at your normal speed take your foot off the gas and suddenly/rapidly fully depress your clutch in -- all them noises is normal!
