Please report back and let us know how it goes... I'm also interested... Thanks!!

Update: I ended up removing the tint from my side windows with some help from my neighbor. We used a clothes steamer thing (don't know what the technical name is lol) to heat up the windows and then peeled the tint right off. Left a little glue but I got it all off with some glue removal stuff and a razor blade. I called up the two places you guys recommended and they offered similar quotes but I ended up taking the car to a local tinter, California Tint Shop, for the rear window because it was the cheapest and very local (unlike the other two places). They had removed the tint on a friend's G37 so they knew what they were doing when it came to preserving the rear defrosters. Haven't tried the defrosters yet but they still work on my neighbors M3 after he had his tint removed at the same place so I think they're fine. Hope that helps for anybody looking to remove their tint as well!
