This was actually the first time I brought it up (this thread is older than the BFC thread, and someone else brought it up in the BFC thread.) I still personally think CCA does mandate a continuous diagonal based on the wording and honestly I didn't know NASA changed their rule back to allowing new builds to have a 2 part diagonal. But, just like lots of other issues, the tech inspector may have no issue with it. I will say that I was over the top with 'would have a pretty good chance of keeping the car from being allowed to race', the odds are most would let it in now that NASA changed their minds again.

And in both threads I made it clear that I thought the car was completely safe and useable for the intended purpose. Just that it may affect resell and it points to the cage builder being new to building cages.
