How much did it cost?

I would shoot him a PM. It depends on what you want. Clutch, shifter, boot material, pedals, if anything else needs to be done, etc. It really can vary.

So after some back and forth with Alekshop, I am leaning towards going with Kevin in Socal. Alekshop sounds like a great place to do the work, but it is not a turn key full factory conversion with everything working. Ptech is a full turn key swap, but pricing is significantly higher than Kevin, which is leading me considering taking a drive to socal. Say if Ptech could offer a more competitive price if we did a group buy on the conversion, would anybody be interested?

Will probably make a final decision within the next few weeks and follow through with it.

I would go with Kevin (kaiv). He just recently did a swap on my car and I'm happy with the way it turned out. i paid him extra for some extra stuff to be done on my car and this guy does a phenomenal job and is also very quick. Drove the car back to my duty station in Texas with no problems what so ever.

Hey everybody! I tried to set something up with Kaiv, but it was a little hard to get in contact with him given how busy he was. I actually just got my conversion done locally in the Bay Area by a local mechanic and picked it up this past weekend. I am relearning the car again and will post a review of the job/work + thoughts on the conversion. Mean while if you're looking for somebody to do the swap pm me for more details!

Hi JTe46, can you tell me where you went? I live in San mateo. I'm sick and tired of my smg. My light just went on. I don't think my car can make it to the east bay for the conversion. Hopefully your mechanic is closer. Can I ask around how much it cost you? Thanks again
