After having ran two days on them (New RS3) over the weekend I have nothing to say but positive positive results, had a few M cars there and these were very very sticky throughout both days. Tires had very good feedback even when pushed pretty hard once they were warm. Pulled temps as soon as I got off track (after 3rd session of the day) about 80 degree temp with about 95 degree track temp and the tires were 170 inside edge and 140 outside edge on the rears.

What pressures did you run?

Just got back from a couple days @ WGI w/trackmasters. I put 260 track miles on a brand new set of 245/40/17's and 525 street miles.

Performance wise I felt there was very little difference between the older version and this new version. Despite what TR says, I felt like this newer compound takes a touch longer to come up to temp than the older version. V1 seems to be ready to go right out of the gate, the newer version needs some heat before they feel the same. This could be due to the fact that my tires had 229 street miles (drive up to WGI) on them before they hit the track.

On the other hand i think these newer ones handle heat better than the older ones did (not that I ever had a problem overheating either tire). I ran a couple of 45 min sessions in 90* heat on Monday and tires never once felt greasy or overworked. was pulling over 1.5g's in some sections of track according to me Aim solo data.

I was able to run one slightly damp session yesterday in these and they felt awesome there too. Lots of grip even on the concrete. On the ride home it down poured and they felt good on the highway @ 75ish.

After all the track miles I rotated front to back and the tires looked great. very even wear and still tons of tread left.

Thanks for the feedback! These Hankook people are really on the money with the RS3 tires!

Very interesting, glad to hear your feedback. First time I've heard of any difference between the old and new versions.
