Yes, laws will help you if the car's condition was misrepresented. This is especially true if it was from another state as this becomes a federal issue. It won't matter if it is a new or used car.

Maybe you got it for a steal or like the challenge of hunting this down. There is nothing wrong with that if you know what you are getting into.

Not sure if this helps or not but I was just driving and had this happen. It was raining so I got in the car and the windshield wipers were not working when I turned them on and the windows were not rolling up/down. I drove for three miles and the wipers/windows began functioning. What are your takes?

Note, I kept trying the use these features during the drive... just so happened to work at the three mile mark.

Bought the car for $11,750 (before taxes/registration)

Thanks, I've already looked into this website. Could not find anything other than kbus troubleshooting but again, my kbus was shooting 12V. Sent an email and response said "I don't know. I am not a mechanic. I do not work on cars." May have sent to the wrong person.

Based on the response, you sent it to the right person.

lol thanks... not sure why they weren't willing to help. I told them I'd pay for their time. Any pointers? Ive taken out both seats, other than finding lots of skittles, I cannot find any damaged wiring in that area running along both door sills

You will want to look at wiring diagrams and do continuity checks between the various connectors. Checking wires themselves will be a waste of time without knowing which ones are bad.

As was discussed above, you may want to start at the odb2 connector and double check all of the wires go where they are supposed to. Depending on how thorough you want to be, maybe also check each of them to each other and to ground.

The other option you have is to eliminate unnecessary modules and see if the gremlins seem to stop. Just document what all you check because after a while you will want to fall back on that.

Whatever you do I would suggest picking a plan of attack and being systematic in your approach.

I would look at the history of the car. Sometimes odd electrical problems are from flood damage. I am not saying that is what has happened, but it might tell you that you have a much larger problem.

I would start by making a list of all the electrical problems and see if there is a common module or wire plug in common.

Update:

I noticed the car will not lock/unlock when the hazard lights are on. Also, with the car off, when I pull the lever for the high beams, the headlights turn on.

Do any of you know anything about what this could be?

My issues for those that do not know and might be able to help:

Turn Signal Indicators
High Beam Indicator
Fog Light Indicator
Airbag Light Illuminated
Seat Belt Light Illuminated (With Belt Buckled)
A/C Controller (Does Not Power On Compressor)
Windows/Wipers (Sometimes takes a few miles to start functioning)
Sunroof (Intermittent)
Lock/Unlock (Will not function with the hazard lights on)
Aftermarket Radio (Removed, most likely caused all of this, do not have OEM radio so just an open harness)
OBD II Port (Not able to communicate with BMW computers)

Please help!
