That is a really old TV module, and even though it does say 16:9, I very much doubt it is.

£40 (approx $60) will get you a working TV module in the UK.

There was also a Navik unit on Ebay which isnt OEM

This looks like it might be suitable.

If you could help me with correct part numbers it may be easier to find.

there is a small add on loom for cars that have nav only, and it allows the connection of the TV module.

Adding a Rev camera to a car with TV, is easy, its 3 wires (on the tv module), 2 wires to power the camera and the camera.
Which Wires are those mate?

Bro, The 3 wires are.

Blue plug.

Pin 17, trigger (to ground).

White plug.

Pin 13, Video in
Pin 14, Video in (gnd).

So grounding pin 17 will auto switch the TV to RV cam mode, and this will look for a signal on pin 13/14.

I have done this mode (not on mine for mates), so know it does work.

You need a RCA lead with bmw pins on the end and a wire with a bmw pin end.

Lol, well it has the Tv module, the correct add on OEM TV loom to connect to a nav only equipped car (the 4 plug lead) and the AV add in loom (2 plug lead) to add REV CAM in.

My car has a nav retrofit loom and I had to install this very setup to get the TV installed, it all works perfectly (as OEM), I now also have OEM Digital TV and this works like a charm.

I've also got the AV input lead and can play movies and music videos from my ipod video on the OEM screen.

I've modded the TV module so that it works while on the move too (never used it while on the over though, lol).

Probably a combination of location and litigation, location because the states is so big the TV reception would be dire, and litigation because the USA is a very litigious society, BMW are are probably not installing something that they could be sued for later.

Ian, am thinking of adding the PXA-H100, do i require to have after market amps? If so which ones do you recommend.

You don't have to use an aftermarket amplifier, but I'd say one of the benefits of going that route is that you CAN use one cleanly integrated fashion.

Which is appropriate depends on what speakers you're using, how many speakers you're using, if it's driving the subwoofer as well, what kind of sound quality you are going for, what kind of weight you're targeting, etc. And, after all that, I don't know that much about aftermarket audio and probably shouldn't be making any recommendations…
