Default WTB: M3/4/5 - Technoviolet

Hi all - eagerly looking for a 5 speed sedan - specifically technoviolet exterior with black interior. Cash on hand, CA preferred but can view anywhere in US - Willing to spend for low miles, records, non-modified, etc.

Ah ok. Nothing wrong with that. Manual being hyped by people who call themselves ‘purist’. Funnily enough, you never see those same ‘purists’ ask back for unsynchronized trannies.

So just enjoy the benefits of the auto.

With the 3.91 rear diff it scoots pretty good and my wife can drive it which has come in handy a lot. With 4 other cars it hasn't taken much priority lately.

We have a 3rd gen 4Runner which has taken up most of my wrench time and car funds for the year.

I really liked my auto E36M sedan Especially as a daily. While I love my E46, sometimes I really wish I had the E36 back. It was just better in nearly every way as a daily.

Much like the SMG thread, you are not understanding. Mpar is picking a fight with those that don’t have auto or SMGI. No “purist” is out to trash factory examples, even the problematic ones. The “lesser” transmission choices have their place and can be enjoyable for what they do and aggravating for what they can’t. We don’t need any dramatic nonsense from overcompensating guys that can’t understand that.
