You have to send in your broken mirror for repair. They fixed mine.

I replaced my oval mirror with a mirror I purchased for my E36. My original oval mirror from the M3 did not have Homelink. The mirror I installed came from a 2006 5 series and has Homelink. It was a direct plug and play, Homelink and auto dim both work. I know, the car is dirty.

I bought a Z4 mirror. Suppose to be direct replacement, with a better viewing area than the m3 oval mirror. Waiting to get my car back from subframe repair to try it out.

Did your mirror have both the HomeLink and the SOS buttons? Do they both still work now that your has been replaced?

Do you happen to know the part number? I have a 2003 Titanium Silver SMG convertible as well. Would love to have homelink. Does your keyless entry still work?

Thanks!

Glad I found this thread. My mirror leaked. Ruined the plate around the SMG shifter and the rubber/leather on one side of the SMG knob. So pissed.

I emailed that company, but was wondering, does BMW cover this even outside of warranty? My car is an 03 with almost 100k miles.

Anyone know where to get the plate and a new SMG knob?
