Default SMG shift knob replacement alternative, no m5 knob

I use the smg knob alot (100% of time) and I hate the paddle, but I found that the smg knob is not intuitive enough and I don't like the m5 knob either (it feels clumsy for shifting.

Anyone know if the stock 6mt would fit in an smg? Any other alternative is fine too. I don't care much for illuminated etc, just something comfortable to grab and use extensively.

If you can post link where to buy it is also great.

^^^Do you have one installed? How comfortable is it to shift? I'm curious about this too.

i have the Z4/6 series SMG knob on my car. looks and feels good in my opinion and is oem if that is your thing. almost all aftermarket knobs (momo, sparco, etc.) should fit though. they just slide in and then get tightened by screws on the side.

some cool momo ones here:

The SMG dome also holds the Drivelogic Program Selector button, so if you got rid of the dome, you'd have to find somewhere else to mount the selector switch.
