Default Rattle from upper left of glove box: Have you had, did you fix it?

I have had an anioying rattle from the front of the passanger side of my car for the year I have owned it. It sounds like a lose piece of plastic rattleing around. Today I narrowed it down to being behind the upper left hand corner glove box door when closed. I repeated the sounded by tapping that part when it is closed.

Problem is now that I know where it is from I don't know what is loose, when opened everything looks and feels tight.

Have any one had something similar and fixxed it.

I know there are a tone of "rattle and squeek" threads but I really narrowed it down and was hoping for some insight on this very specific rattle.

Thanks.

Bump, I have something similar to this, either from my glovebox or my passenger side speaker.

It could be coming from a door speaker as well on my car, but it is definatly coming from part of the glove box door.

At some point in the future I plan on taking out the glove box and seeing what exactly is going on.

Try this and let me know if it's the same thing. When you hear the rattle while driving, reach over to the passenger side and push down on the arm rest on the door... Does all of your rattling go away?

have the same thing and this is what mine is!

When you hear the rattle reach over and pull on the compartment underneath the door armest. Goes away when I do it. I need to find something nice looking to wedge in there! I'm think something with rubber on both in with a srcrew type deal in the middle so as you turn it it takes up the space? Have to hit home depot and see if something like that exisits or can be made!

if it's coming from the door panel, then it has to be one of the many 'pop-in' rivets that keep the panel on the door frame. sometimes, they get loose and start rattling. if you want to fix this problem for good, just take the door panel off, get some weatherstrip adhesive and coat the rivets so once they are in, they won't move around.

the rivet i'm talking about is Item #6
