Default Help identify this noise please

Wondering what this noise is. It didnít sound like a knock, not lifter, ?? It gets slightly worse with rpm increase but kind of subdue when you go higher than 3000 RPM. Canít tell from the inside cabin. No CEL. Loose spark plug perhaps? Kinda has higher frequency for loose spark plug..
Engine runs and pulls good.
98 M3 130k miles auto.

Thanks

What have you checked so far? You’ve talked yourself out of one possible issue but you still need to check the plugs.

Couldn't really do any troubleshooting and I was mostly speculating. I was looking at this car to buy. I've heard engine knock, lifter noise, Vanos noise, and spark plug loose noise before, but this didn't sound like any of them. It seems like coming from the area of the cylinder 6. Foxwell scanner came out super clean with no faults too.

PPI would shed better light.
