^^
Does it still have the protective rubber 'seal' under the hold-down clamp?

From that pic, it does not. Unsure why that matters, the wheel is clearly used and not perfect. Certainly suitable to build a usable DS2 set from though.

It doesn’t really matter. Was just curious how many are still in old cars.
Now that you say it, the small indent is visible, where you would see it. So that would be no indeed.

Rust absolutely scares me...don’t know if this is a known problem spot w these cars. I’m sure there is supposed to be a rubber grommet of some sort that plugs the hole that grey drain tube goes through...how bad is it? ( and what’s the black box thing that’s underneath the spare tire w the hoses coming out of it?!

Black box is the charcoal filter.
These electronic thingies are aftermarket. There should be a grommet in the trunkfloor where the battery vent hose goes through. Both mine didn’t have the vent hose, I added it later, but neither have any rust. You’d really have to have battery acid spilled there. On cabrio’s the battery sits in a floating dampened tray and doesn’t sit directly on the chassis (it works as a tuned mass damper).
