^BaT does control the reserve (at least they limit at the high end).
I know - have also heard from some who couldn't sell on BaT b/c they could not come to agreement on the reserve.

No doubt. Honestly, I appreciate that level of control--even if they inevitably get it wrong occasionally.

I remember the guy asking questions about the conversion. Looks like it's done right... I'll be watching this with much interest. So many low mileage automatics around Long Island.

thoughts on where this will end up in price? My estimate is between 25-30k. I think it could of done 30+ if it wasn't for the swap, the repaint, and the dove sedan interior.

30+k for a low milage auto sedan?
No ****ing way. There was a guy on here that couldn't give his away.
Regardless thats a MASSIVE amount of, "if it wasn't for's."
This car is worth more with the modifications, however the paint work is going to hurt it as it doesn't say if all the panels are original.

I thought it was. Proof in the pudding that the tranny swap actually doubled the price of the car from what a real market decided to value the car at.
Thing about auctions that I don't always believe provides a proper measure of value, is it only takes 2 people with some money to make a really stupid decision to try and prove a point.

Really good question. Keep in mind, this seller spend $25K just getting car via BJ auction. I'm sure he knows he won't get most of the mod money back, but I bet he's hoping to cover some of it. He knows his stuff, just sold a Dinan E39 M5 on BaT, and says he has other enthusiast vehicles coming.

BaT probably pushed him to be reasonable with the reserve, but I think possibility of RNM here.
