Default Low mileage 3/4/6 on BaT

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...ign=2018-03-28

Interesting car. Very low mileage and some mods done by Zionsville and EAG. Not sure why some panels needed a repaint though. Price is already +$10K with 6 days to go.

The EAG service will provide a lot of comfort for potential bidders and will also drive the price up high.

I assume the seller offered it to EAG first but they couldn't agree on a price.

Fairly certain this is the same automatic that sold here for $12k last year.

Yes. Shows the car with an automatic from the factory.

Probably needed some panels repainted because the factory paint job on 90's BMWs was not that good. My Imolarot '99 car which only had about 60,000 miles when I bought it a couple years ago; developed clear coat failure on some horizontal surfaces this last year. It was garage kept all its life, in a non-sunny state...

I recently had the hood and rear bumper cover repainted to address the failures. Now I'm starting to see some very slight failure on the passenger door, near the window...

6-speed is cool, I wonder what ratio diff is in that car, perhaps it's original high ratio one when it was an automatic?

Honestly, 4 door, Estoril was my dream E36 M3. I almost bought a 6-speed one across the country, but it was a little higher in mileage than I wanted (and 2,500 miles away). Then of course my Imolarot car popped up... If I wasn't attracted to rarity, I'd actually prefer blue, color wise.

Thanks for posting, I'll be watching with interest.

Not apples/apples, but I picked up a fairly clean, original paint high-mileage car in a more intriguing spec:
-Estoril
-Black interior
-Slicktop
-Also auto

I'm gathering parts for a manual swap (likely a garden-variety ZF 5 speed) and minor comb-through, and then it will also go on BaT. Assuming I don't find a money tree sprouting in the backyard of my new house. The mileage (200k+) will certainly hurt, but we'll see!

Nice looking car, and all the work has a pedigree. There is a BaT listing thread over on E46 forum.

Since this guy paid 25+ at auction, gotta assume the reserve is sky high. Though I've been told that BaT pushes sellers to be reasonable, so we'll see.

^BaT does control the reserve (at least they limit at the high end).
