It's time for an update.

I've been enjoying the car all summer as is but I couldn't resist on a killer deal I found on a SuperSprint cat back exhaust.

Before...

Euro SuperSprint exhaust with DTM tips.

After...

Euro SuperSprint "Performance" exhaust with 70mm tips.

It makes the car look a little more grown up. I'm a little sad to see the JDM style disappear.

The old exhaust was a little louder but I don't think it's a "race" exhaust.

BTW if someone is interested in buying the old exhaust PM me before I clean it an post a FS add.

Itís been a long time and itís time for an update.

Just after the exhaust was installed I took the car from KY to Tail of the Dragon.

At the Tail of the Dragon it became apparent that the bushings in the rear end needed to be replaced. I loved driving the roads of the Smokey Mountains and KY but the rear end was very snappy.

The car came back home to Canada in the fall.

My winter project was this...

Replacing warn out rubber bushings, snow balled into AKG RTAB pocket reinforcements, braided brake lines, rebuilt brake calipers with brass guides, new front control arm bushings and a new timing chain tensioner. ( Why not replace the timing chain tensioner while working on rear suspension bushings???)

Since my car was built in 12/1993, I fully expected to weld in the subframe reinforcements however they were already there. They look factory installed based on the under coating.

Here is the car back from the shake down drive and the alignment shop.

The black DSIIs are now hanging on the wall of my garage.

After some parking brake adjustments I think itís ready for the summer.

Yes, mine is a jan 1994 build and when I did the suspension over in 2011 I ordered the kit to weld in the reinforcements and when the sub frame was off they were already in place. Still have the kit lying around somewhere.

Took the car out for a good run today. Itís a great chance to show off the new shoes.

I know most people didnít like my painted DSIIs.

These Apex FL5s give the car a much more modern look.
