You can get E9x M3 Blanks without being cross drilled for around $40 a rotor. One thing to note they will weigh a little more than the OEM rotors with the aluminum hat. Can't beat the price of $80 for the pair of front rotors.

Yep, that's exactly what post #607 was about, almost word for word lol

If they could get us a group buy for 500 a set I could see these being an option, but at 700 it isn't worth the price.

So you are saying to have a group buy to fix another group buy to get rotors from the wrong car that weigh about 4 pounds more than stock e46 and will require cutting or deleting of the dust shield? NO THANKS. Look what essex carries . . . 355x32mm D51 rings that weigh 16lbs and make a hat and bracket for that.

The ECS rotors are lighter than the factory oem E90 m3 rotors and offer a few other benefits. I can see these rotors being an option for a small premium over oem. Below is right off website for ECS outlining the rotors.

Reduce weight. Reduce heat. Reduce warping.

ECS Tuning engineered 2-Piece semi-floating rotors offer real world benefits that can be felt on both the street and track! Our 2-Piece rotors combine the advantages of weight savings and rapid heat dissipation to provide a rotor superior to stock while preventing warping and extending component life. The reduction of unsprung weight improves handling characteristics under all situations. This reduction in rotational inertia allows for quicker acceleration, decreased braking distances, and more responsive handling.

Features include:

Aluminum hats: To save weight, each rotor ring is bolted to a lightweight aluminum hat made from high quality 6061 aluminum, and hard anodized with an attractive matte black finish that is both durable and corrosion resistant.
Gray cast iron rings: Long known for its wear resistance and stable friction characteristics, cast iron is favored for brake rotors due to its ability to absorb and dissipate large amounts of heat.
2-Piece construction: Conventional rotors are unable to cope with the stress of drastic heat fluctuations and are prone to warping. ECS 2-Piece semi-floating rotors allow the radial expansion of the rotor ring - preventing warping.
Heat treated: Heat treating of ECS 2-Piece rotors makes them stiffer and stronger - for improved performance and further prevention of warping.
Drilled and slotted: 2-Piece rotors are cross drilled to promote cross ventilation for improved cooling as well as slotted to clean brake pads and carry away water and brake dust. Cleaner brake pads result in faster, more consistent stopping. Drilled holes are chamfered while slots are machined with a ball end mill - both to prevent cracking that may be present on improperly machined rotors.
Overall weight savings: This particular ECS 2-Piece rotor weighs 22.15 lbs compared to a stock E9X M3 rotor at 22.8 lbs. Lighter rotors reduce unsprung weight and rotational mass to improve both braking and suspension performance.
Manufacturing quality: Non-friction ring surfaces, including internal vents, are painted to resist salt and other corrosives. Ground braking surfaces ensure rings run parallel, and pads bed easily.
Cooling capacity: Additional internal surface area means additional cooling capacity, and these feature 60% more internal vanes, equaling more internal surface area for cooling.
Includes ECS Stainless Rotor Set Screws to eliminate rusty factory fasteners

Any updates on clearance with dust shield, OEM front 18’s, tie-rod ends?

I don't want to rain on the parade here, but why are the leading pistons the same size as the trailing pistons? I guarantee that users will run into pad taper issues and that's a bummer.

Adding to that: I understand Streamline can't paint every color someone wants, but I'm also a little bummed that BMW Acid Orange isn't an option. Such a better color than the CCB Gold and Fire Orange.

I really don't feel like stripping a brand new pair of calipers and then having to get them painted to match my rears. Combined with the uniform piston sizes and I'm probably going to stick with my Porsche setup.
