Every time I start to soften on the 996, I see it next to any other 911.

Sorry to say, but itd be super hard for me to justify a 993 over a 991 if I had a choice, money not being a factor. At some point the nostalgia would wear off and Id be left with the less versatile car.

I've always been a Porsche fan and I've owned a variety of them over the years.

In a non-turbo car, I'd agree. In a turbo? 993 all day. All wheel drive, usable power, great compact form, and even though I don't think the 993 is aging as well as the older cars, it's still great looking to me.

Thanks for posting these, E.

I really wish a 930 was attainable for me. I have read all about its downsides, but would love to own one. Seems like you have to spend north of $70k to get a decent "driver" car with some miles on it, and that's really tough to justify. Also, seems the slantnoses are cheaper; I wonder if they're cheap enough that a conversion to "H4 fenders" makes sense?

I need more 930 wheel time, as my memory of it was lag lag and more lag, but I always come back to it being hard to justify over a 3.6 swap into an earlier lighter car.
