If you're going to be driving it hard, yes. I've had an oem waterpump fail and then the fan cut through my radiator. It's a smart investment.

If you get a '99 M3 you don't have to worry about the plastic impellers in the water pumps because they come metal all already.

Don't waste money on the radiator also. I don't even run a clutch fan and I've never had any heat issues, even when it's 100 out and doing some autocross.

If you track your car then get an oil cooler. It'll be overkill on the street though.

Another thankful person here for this thread. Glad I'm familiar with forums and read stickies and search.
I WILL find that one M3 I've wanted. This has helped me decide if I want it to be a daily driver or a Summer/Fall vehicle.
