Default Just bought 1999 BMW M3 bright red

Hey guys, I am very lucky and was able to buy a 1999 BMW M3 today. The car is 5spd MT, bright red, black leather interior with the Vader seats and sport package. Car has coil overs, all new bushings, racing dynamic front strut bar, and rear strut bar in the trunk, but everything else is 100% stock.

Although the car is in excellent shape for its age, the car is obviously not BRAND NEW. It does need some very minor TLC in certain places. For instance, the A/C will not shut off. It blows super cold, but will not shut off as long as the car is on. Common issue, or really weird? Also the ACS light on the dash is on. Again, Common or weird? I had the ACS light problem in my old E46 M3 also.

Will post pics up soon.

Thank in advance.

This would be a very critical issue indeed on an E46.

Pics are needed. In addition, what color is "bright red", as the only red offered in 99 was Hellrot with a couple Individual Imola's out there, neither really being "bright". It is on the strut tower under the hood.

Hellrot could be considered bright red, that's what my guess is. Sounds like a clean car, definitely post some pics. And ASC light or ABS light? not sure what ACS is... And never heard of your AC problem either.

I think "hell" means "bright" in German.

Ah, yes. "light" also. Hence the brand name "Hella"...

I'd consider a hellrot red E36 coupe.
