Default I crashed my dream car....

I comes with a terrible, looming guilt and embarrassment that I just got in to a serious accident with my fresh-off-the boat 89 M3. I wrecked my dream car....

I do not believe the car is totaled, it will need a new rear axle and a bunch body work on the passenger side. The (very high end) body shop I brought it to said that they do not see anything that's not a simple part replacement.

Car slid on the passenger side...The driver side is fine.

Rear axle snapped in....

Also ruined 2 of these gorgeous wheels...

My insurance Co. is State Farm and I have a great relationship with them. HOWEVER, given the somewhat obscure nature of this vehicle, I have a feeling that they are not going to value the car properly. Thus I want to get my guns in order. I am planning to compile not only sales documentation, as well as other examples of similar priced E30s.

I was wondering if anyone here has any ideas of good places look that would demonstrate the value. KBB is out of the question (age and the fact that they do not consider the "classic" nature). Are there any other tools out there more specific to the nature of this car?

Anyone with experience or insight would be very much appreciated!

Thanks,

Chris

P.S. I'm sorry for E30 in general. I feel so bad about this....

hopefully you can get her fixed up and back on the road soon!

Also glad you're OK, cars can be replaced or repaired, people are a lot harder to fix and impossible to replace.

Get thee to a frame machine to ensure she is still straight and true. Sorry to hear of the accident, but fortunately you are alright.

That was a hard impact -- what happened?

So sorry to hear this, but we're glad you're okay!

You could always check Enthusiast Auto Group and other specialty indie dealers to see if they have any e30 m3's or at least relevant sales history. Otherwise, I would just compile as many for sale postings you can find that showcase the car's vintage and value.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Sorry... Hope you're ok. I'm goin thru the same thing. My Ins is fixing it. Ask the ins to have it appraised by a Pro. appraiser. To get the real value of the car. Then for sure they wiil fix it when they find out the real value of the car. Start searching for parts... I'm having a hard time looking for parts. I'm still looking for left door and left side skirt. There is a new rear quarter panel at craigslist Sn Francisco. I ordered parts from TheBMWpartstore best price I've seen. GOODLUCK HOPE SHE GET FIXED.

I "think" the rear is the same used in Z3's
