Default Nice, OE Estoril's still exist!

was driving by some used car lots on the way back from a friends house yesterday, and saw a shiny estoril parked on the grass. I had to stop and look and see how much they were asking.

turns out it wasn't for sale and was just one of the shop's mechanics car. I talked to him and he said he bought it in 2000 as second owner with 27k miles on it. Its a 98 and now at 63k. Doesn't drive it in the winter which definitely showed. This thing was absolutely spotless I shit you not.

He was probably in his late 30's but didn't seem to be really into the E36 community as it was obvious he wasn't aware of how rare his car was. He said he has kept it 100% stock because everything runs well and he has no need to change anything. I liked that mentality, and am glad despite him not being a huge enthusiast still takes amazing care of his car.

Oh, and it had mulberry interior making it 1/110 (thanks Nitram) and a factory installed spoiler (no third brakelight on rear deck). The thing was so nice looking. He said he wasn't interested in selling.

he thought grey and mulberry were the same, and didn't know that stock, estoril coupes are hard to find. He told me himself he thought they were common.

Wow. Cell phone pics of a non-enthusiast-owned car in a parking lot. And yet it's still totally gorgeous. Nicely played, BMW.

It's not that rare. There are plenty of clean cars out here, that aren't enthusiast owned.
