change it every inspection, the diff's properties and mechanisc do not differ from any other lubricated constant-use part, aka you need to refresh the lubrication periodically.

think of it this way, you aren't going to do any damage to change the fluid more frequently than recommended (as long as you use the correct fluids), but you may do damage by not changing it.

And doing it every inspection instead of every inspection 2 is only an extra diff fluid change every 60,000 miles. How hard is that?
