Default Been thinking about getting an M5...

The one thing I have wondered, is the SMG in the M5 seem as faulty as the e46 M3? Or is it a better system? Was just thinking about that.

Thanks!

I'd try to find one in a 6 speed if I had another shot at an E60. Otherwise, mine is SMG and brought nothing but smiles to my face (and taken a lot of money out my bank account).

Happy hunting.

My 2010 M6 with 60k has had more SMG problems in the last month than my 2004 M3 with 134k has had in its entire lifetime. Guess I'm just one of the unlucky ones!
