The rear seats in this are actually very usable. I may have an opening to trade the GTS for .2 GT3 if I can get the allocation
DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rez - hope you get that allocation. But the GTS is not a bad consolation prize.
Congrats on the M3, I still haven't gotten mine.

Eric - I was the dummy that bought a new GTI with 2 doors in 2007. I just got my first big boy engineering job after college, I was single and it looked better to me. So that's why I got it. Now, with 2 kids 4 doors is a must if I only have one car.

I have to say with big car sets (i.e. for 2-6 year olds) the MK7 is pretty tight in the back.

For adults though it's very spacious for a hatch.

Even the F31 is quite tight with a rear-facing seat behind the passenger... if I'm not driving I sit in the back behind my wife / next to the little guy.

Saw a new R in that blue and Manuel at the grocery store yesterday... eff.

I picked up a 2016 GTI Autobahn Manual in January. Loving it so far. It's fully loaded besides the special order only driver assistance package. It's our main family car, have 2 boys 9 and 16 so no big bulky car seats. (wife's car is a 2005.5 Jetta TDI with 222k miles that is still going strong)

Can't wait to get it tuned. Proabably go with Unitronic. I've lowered it on REVO springs and love it has the adjustable dampers which make a huge difference in the ride. My past car was a 2008 E63 AMG, and while this is no where near as fast in a straight line, this one definitely is more fun (and better equipped). Oh, I bought it used with 13k miles certified for just under 24k. Not bad since MSRP is almost 35k brand new and my warranty will last longer than a new on.e

Why did VW make a 2017 hot hatch slower than a 2014 model?

considering how cheap fuel is in the US, i probably wouldnt see the need for one here..

but its an excellent machine and great value , probably the best value in its class, IMO
