I also had the same issue with the interior lights flickering. It started soon after hardwiring my passport. Anyway, I think I solved it today and thought I'd share as I haven't seen this solution posted. I removed the light fixture and poked and prodded at it a bit. The connections to the main button (pointed out in the photo below) seemed a little corroded, and it really only makes contact at a single point. I took a little sand paper to it and squeezed the contacts together with some pliers. I reattached everything and problem solved! It is possible my poking elsewhere solved the problem but I'm willing to bet it was these contacts.

Good luck!

when I had an issue like this it was because the "little black box" in the angel eye wiring harness was rusted out on the inside...my guess would be to check that if you haven't already.

Hey everyone. I know this is a old thread but Figured I would revive it, due to me having the same issues and doing some searching, hopefully this will help someone one day down the road.

I ended up removing the center dome light fixture. the tabs that hold it in place were what was not holding it in place. My interior lights were not coming on with lock or un-lock, open or closing the doors. they would flicker now and then from closing and flicker when driving. the dome light fixture was what was loose and very slightly. as soon as i pushed on the fixture the light would come on. Removed the fixture, re-bent the tabs out wards a lil more. checked all connections and re-installed. Making sure to slip the back end of the fixture (closest to the windscreen) in first then pushing it in for the tabs to hold it into place. lights work wonders now and no problem thus far.

The problem with the windows makes it sound to be a different or unrelated issue. I believe there is a module called the gm3 or gm4 that goes bad and causes wacky windows.

^ Agree on the windows being a different issue; might look into your driverís door lock actuator.

Had the same problem with the interior dome light coming on randomly. I opened up the dome light and found the dome light wire was very tightly rubbing metal. I eased the tension and wrapped all wire ends and all metal contact points with electrical tape. For me only the center light would come on so Im assuming thats the wire thats contacting the metal causing a short. I'm sure that any wire thats wrapped hard around that metal could eventually short causing phantom on/off. Even if the wire looks like its not stripped its still causing shorts especially when it heats up. Havent had a problem since.
