the new x5m is cool and all and i'm sure fast as hell and great to drive......but, it looks soft, it looks like it got half its genes from a minivan or a korean vehicle. does not look as chiseled as the previous e70 body style.

Year/Make/Model:
2008 BMW E60 M5

Color:
Black Sapphire Metallic

Transmission:
SMG

The M5 has always been a luxury powerhouse when it comes to the M Performance line of BMW. Pushing out 500 bhp from the 5.0 L V10 S85 engine, the super high performance sedan makes its way from 0-60 mph in 4.1 to 4.5 seconds. Amazingly, the E60 M5 was both the quickest and the fastest sedan in the world when it was released in 2005. We put this Black Sapphire Metallic M5 on our Dynojet Dyno to see what numbers it would put to the wheels. 437.49 hp at 7,470 RPM was the number the M5 ended up pushing to. Although already putting down a high number, the owner wanted more.

Over a few days we installed a supercharger from ESS Tuning. More specifically, the VT1-625 supercharger was the go to kit. This supercharger system is the quickest way to give the M5 the power that it deserves while maintaining OEM drivability and reliability. Running at 5.5 psi, the VT1-625 system is a non-intercooled system that offers quite the immediate overhaul. With the Vortech V3Si supercharger unit, race spec bypass assembly, 10 larger Bosch Motorsport fuel injectors, K&N high flow air filter, intake manifold, and ECU software, this M5 jumped from its initial 437 hp to 516.32 hp! Watch this E60 on the dyno below!

Year/Make/Model:
E92 M3

Color:
Alpine White

Transmission:
6MT

Modifications:
StopTech Big Brake Kit
M Performance Exhaust
Painted Reflectors
Rear Tow Strap

Fitted with a large single piston caliper and drilled rotors, the E92 M3s braking capabilities were questioned when the car first came out, specifically because of the single piston caliper. Although large, driving enthusiasts found the brakes not very effective with extensive track time. The owner of this M3 decided it was time for an upgrade, choosing the StopTech BBK (Big Brake Kit). The chosen StopTech BBK features a front 6-piston and rear 4-piston caliper as well as slotted rotors and stainless steel brake lines.

Immediate advantages of installing the StopTech BBK are shorter stopping distances, better brake modulation, a firmer brake pedal, and less brake fade. Although motorsport oriented, the StopTech brakes can certainly be used on the streets as well, only providing improved performance over the factory system, for example braking in an emergency. Featuring a manual transmission, the owner of this car has improved control over the vehicles movement and can even reduce lap times by braking later than what could have been done with the factory brakes due to having less brake fade and better functionality under high heat with the StopTech system.

Year/Make/Model:
BMW E86 Z4M

Color:
Black Sapphire Metallic

Transmission:
6MT

Modifications:
Sparco Ergo GRP Tec Racing Seats
Arkym Carbon Fiber Front Splitter
Arkym Carbon Fiber Diffuser
Arkym Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler
Rogue Engineering Exhaust
Turner Motorsport Underdrive Pulleys
Macht Schnell Headers
ESS Flash Tune
Macht Schnell Air Filter

Thanks to the powerful S54 engine, sharp steering and handling, and well spread weight, the E86 Z4M is a great choice to go and hit the track with. Available as either a two seat convertible or hatchback, the Z4M has an attractive appearance. BMW made sure that with the M model Z4s that they were equipped with a six speed manual transmission. With the sport tuned suspension, limited-slip differential and bigger brakes, the Z4M was coming close to a track ready car.

This specific Z4M means business with its Macht Schnell Headers, Macht Schnell Air Intake, ESS Flash Tune, and Rogue Engineering Exhaust helping on the horsepower side. It truly looks mean and aggressive with the full Arkym Carbon Fiber Aero including a front splitter, rear diffuser, and trunk spoiler. To be fully secure on the track, this owner requested that a Sparco Ergo GRP Tec Racing Seat be fitted in his car. The Ergo is the newest seat to join the Sparco line up. It incorporates a removable DTC head protections system. The Ergo isn’t only light-weight but strong and rigid. The non-slip fabric in the shoulders and lower cushion provide maximum grip. The Ergo also has an anatomic lower cushion and backrest with high breathability fabric for added comfort. The CAD design ensures a perfect fit with drivers by offering 2 different sizes. The Ergo is an FIA approved seat.
