Default Diamond in the ruff?!?

Just came across this and put a deposit down until pics are send to me, checked with the BMW dealer that serviced the car for 15 years that rod bearings have been done and its been serviced there its whole life. IT IS a 6 speed manual, but a Vert. Red interior / silver exterior. Basically a 1 owner car, no accidents.

Seems like a steal.

Seems to be a fair price for the convertibles that I've seen. If it's in really good condition, I'd say it's a good deal, but with no pictures, it's impossible to tell.

Congratulations. 11k? I think I paid about the same. You have lower miles than mine when I bought it and I think mine came from Ohio too. Mine is smg so you have one less problem to worry about. Just maybe the racp and Vanos Is your primary's maintenance. I contacted the other two owners to verify what happened with the car. Everything is clean. You have a good set of speakers? Harmon kardon ? Didn't see it in the option. Mine is a flat top, ( no sun roof no convertible). Looked at the site but still no pics. Enjoy it bro.

Not sure on the speakers(harmon Kardon)... once I get the pics Im sure it ill be able to see it. Its currently at the detail shop getting cleaned up. The dealership bought it from the BMW dealer that serviced it on a trade in. The bmw dealer knew the "old guy" that owned it. Was very meticulous about the car. Hope so...

Not much information to call it a sweet deal, and IMO far from a "diamond" as it's a vert. Not even any photos.

previous maintenance outside of rod bearings?
subframe?
VANOS?
Recalls?

Get a PPI from a reputable indy shop.

I think it would be a good deal with smg... the fact its a real manual it should be selling for 16k. Or am I wishing?

Ill post pics when I get them... Not sure on VANOS. It does need the air bag recall.

Again, hard to say without further review of previous maintenance and the PPI report.

Still not a lot of money for an S54, so I hope it works out for you!

I guess I title this wrong... its no diamond in the ruff. Just thought it was a good deal if it checks out. Im so wary of pulling the trigger on things... always need some encouragement.
