All my VW friends are actually exactly like that. I did just post my fault codes though if you're interested

Looks like your precat 02s, the important ones for performance, are wonky. Either going out or maybe they were installed incorrectly? Bad pre cat 02s can mess with afr and put you way down on power.

I run a European exhaust manifold without cats.

Also had my car at the dealership about a month ago. They did service 1 and didn't say anything to me but idk how good the tecs are there.
I would have expected decimal codes 37 and 38 to pop up, not 38 and 39. 37 and 38 are precat O2 sensors for bank1 and 2 respectively. Codes 39 and 40 are post cat bank1 and 2 respectively.

Are you sure you copied the right codes to the thread?

From the codes (and assuming 37 and 38 rather than 38 and 39), seems your precat o2 sensors, coolant temp sensor and egt sensors are faulty.

I actually have no idea-- never taken mine to the drag strip since it was brand new.

I got a 12.9 @112 out of my e39 M5 when I accidentally ended up at a drag strip (work function), and my M3 coupe is significantly faster than my M5.

Back in the day I was doing VBOX runs in a friends supercharged e46 M3, and got a best 0-60 of 3.9. That was traction limited for the entire run (though PS2s at the time), so I think that's close to the lower limit of available traction to us on street tires.

... I should see if I can borrow his VBOX. I'm curious what my car can actually do, now

Did you ever get your timing/knock issue sorted? I know that you were waiting for the weather to warm up, but then I thought I saw that your car was all pulled apart again. I am thinking of retuning with the same tune you got, was just wondering if you ever figured out the issues.

My interior is still all torn apart. I'm ~120 hours of work into this project. Might have been a fool's errand

Still, the end is finally starting to be in sight... and next time I drive the car, it'll be 100+ lbs lighter than last time I drove it, while still having a full interior and no loss of functionality!

But, no, didn't get it back to the dyno yet, since replacing the knock sensors.

Oh shit I didn't even realize one was post and one was pre, that is weird I used the hex editing tool (i forget the name of the software) and checked the disable o2 sensor box. I plan on getting an actual B spec tune next pay
