Default Re: P1188 P1189 - Long list of tests and repairs and no end in sight. Really need hel

I have this same (I am OP) issues posted on Bimmerforums....

Someone asked what color my injectors are- mine are also pink . They stated pink are the correct ones...

Do you know if our oxygen sensors are Titania or zirconia type? I believe they are Titania. I wonder if my sensors, though new are bad or incorrect. They have the yellow wire , which I think means Titania...

I got the part number for my o2 sensors from realoem.com I'd assume they'd be correct.

On OBDII, pink top injectors are proper 21.5 lb/hr. 24 lb/hr are a light blue color.

I replaced my month old mass air flow with a a new vdo mass air flow today and my fuel trims went to 0. I'll update after this weekend to see if those 1188 & 1199 came back or not.

Please do report back , M3arod, thanks!

I am wondering if the replacement MAF is bad on mine too. Itís a new OEM part, but stranger things have happened. Keep us posted!

Thanks

Can you do me a favor if able- look at the part number on your o2 sensors- not the connector on the car harness, but the actual o2 connector side. The end of mine has 094304 part number. What is yours? If itís too much trouble donít worry about it.... Iím thinking about replacing pre cat o2 sensors though ones on there are 10k miles old. I am fearful they are wrong.

That's no smoking gun. Injectors can work just fine like that... if they are working properly to begin with. It's just a cap.

I've put 211 miles on the M3 since friday without a CEL in sight. I came into the shop and checked the live data and the fuel trims are looking good as well. It's blown my mind because I had replaced that MAF about a month or 2 ago and from the live data seemed to be working just fine. But obviously something was wrong with that Bremi MAF I had put in there. I now have a VDO MAF and the vehicle seems to be running perfectly fine. jcasaccio I'd give it a shot, trust me I know how much of a pain its been to figure it out!

We could have told you that on day one, but you listed your replacement as ďa bmw partĒ. This is not a BMW part. Failure to use Genuine OE or OEM parts will result in less than optimal performance. This is a no brainer.
