I would stay away from a cometic head gasket on a NA car. They tend to leak around the timing cover and just dont last long on these engines. I would just stick with a oem and the arps and if your wanting a upgrade a cutring head gasket.

I’d love to stick with an OE style gasket, but I can’t find one that measures 87mm at the bore seems they will hang over and be in the combustion area. I think I’m just gonna have to hope for the best with the Cometic. As far as I could tell MLS seems to be the only option at 87mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

More parts today!
Super Tech valve springs, oil pump rotor and shaft from Achilles, 87mm piston install tool, ARP head studs and Cometic MLS head gasket. They sent .070 spec gasket, but I’m not even mad. ![]() ![]() Ordered more parts last night... CX Racing radiator, fan, and shroud. New water pump. Silicone hoses Bimmer world 3.5” ASC delete boot. The absolute cheapest headers I could find on eBay - I know this may seem like a poor area to skimp out on but at 70.00 shipped I’m gonna have a look at them. And an OFHG because that slipped through the cracks somehow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Idk, He drives by at least one other dealer on the way in. I will say our shop is a pretty awesome place to work. Can’t say that i could maintain the kind of commute he does though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by bimmerteknik; Tue, May-22-2018 at 02:35:59 AM. |
